To ensure that our facility is safe for all participants and in compliance with the Ontario COVID-19 Guidelines, we have implemented a list of new policies and procedures to protect our karate family as we reopen.
All students will need to sign a COVID-19 waiver before entering the studio, acknowledging that they understand the risks associated with being in a public space, as well as outlining their health and travel details. All karate participants will then have their temperature checked, and be signed in. The sign in/out sheet will help us to monitor who is in the building at all times, as well as allow us to notify everyone if a student or teacher were to contract COVID-19. We also ask that no parents, siblings, or any guardians accompany students in the dojo. We are currently drop-off ONLY!
Masks must be worn when entering, using the bathroom, and in all common areas, and may only be removed in the dojo. There will be no access to change-rooms, so students must come dressed and ready for class! Shoes must be left at the entrance, and all other belongings must go with the student into the dojo. Social distancing rules will apply throughout the facility, and mats will be taped to enforce a 6 foot distance between students. Our staff will diligently sanitize all dojo, common areas, bathrooms, and door handles frequently.
We thank you in advance for complying with these rules, and helping us to keep our karate family safe as we open our doors. We hope to see you soon!
